Searching New Hampshire and Maine for a scene that glows and has the elements that will be the central point of the next painting, is an on going quest.  In all its light changes, the same scene re- clothes itself at each hour of the day. Half of Cross's work is plein air, that is done outside, on site before the light fades. Half is studio work.

These are a group of large scale paintings that have traveled to The Biblical Art Museum in Dallas Texas in the early 1990’s for a one woman exhibition. They are illustrative of favorite Scriptures and the models are all friends and neighbors. There are wonderful human stories behind every painting.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of these works, please notify us through the contact information. They are 20x24 each and oil on panel. They disappeared in NH traveling to Florida in 1989.
